These terms govern your purchase and use of Meridian whole-genome sequencing. This is a starting draft to be finalized by counsel before launch.
Who you are contracting with
For orders in Singapore, your contract is with [US Entity Legal Name, a Delaware corporation]. For orders in India, your contract is with [India Entity Legal Name]. Together, “Meridian”.
What the service is
Meridian provides 30x whole-genome sequencing and secure delivery of your genomic data for personal knowledge, ancestry, and wellness. It is not a clinical or diagnostic test and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anything. It is not medical advice. Sequencing is performed by accredited laboratory partners.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to order. You may order for a family member only with their informed consent, and the sample must be provided by the named person.
Orders and delivery
Pre-orders are charged at checkout. We then ship a saliva collection kit. Time from sample receipt to data is typically about four weeks; timelines are estimates, not guarantees. You receive your VCF file to download and keep. You hold the only key to your encrypted data; if you lose it, we cannot recover your files.
Your data
After you download your file we delete our copy, and our laboratory partners destroy your biological sample within 30 days of delivery. See the Data Policy for detail.
Refunds
Cancel before your kit ships for a full refund. After the lab receives your sample and sequencing begins, the order is non-refundable, as the work and reagents are committed. If your sample fails laboratory quality control, we will send a replacement kit at no charge or offer a full refund.
Disclaimers and governing law
The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian's liability is limited to the amount you paid. Singapore orders are governed by the laws of Singapore; India orders by the laws of India. [Limitation, indemnity, and governing-law clauses to be finalized by counsel.]
